wtf?

It's Thanksgiving. I'm sure it is. The calendar says so, I didn't have to go to work, my wife served up a turkey, and there was a big parade on TV this morning.

And yet - I can find no James Bond marathon on TV. I've repeatedly scoured the DirecTV listings, to no avail. Is nothing sacred?

A full weekend of Channel of the Apes on Fox Movies should help appease you. No?

It's a start, and I certainly respect the Fox brass for making that somewhat ballsy programming decision.
The vintage behind-the-scenes footage they're showing during commercial breaks is certainly cool.

I guess the no-Bond marathon rankles me because I sense it's tied into the recent DVD and Blu Ray release of the catalog, and that they're holding them back from broadcast so that people buy them instead.

Which is weird, because they just released the entire "Planet of the Apes" saga on blu-ray, too.

They had a Bond marathon on Sci Fi Channel. Only the Brosnan ones, though. And I don't think they started till late in the afternoon.

Your comment borders on sacrilege.
A Bronson / Bond marathon is no treat - it's the stuff of nightmares.
